Coming back to the festival realm is bizarre.
I’ve been to festivals in recent years, but not like this. This is big, commercial. All about Instagram looks and living a fantasy.
Compared to Love Burn, it all seems so superficial. Plastic. Packaged and ready for consumption. Everybody looks the same, in their clothes and accessories from festival vendors and Shein.
There’s just something so bizarre about the way everyone walks and moves here, without real purpose. Just wandering around and looking for something. Enjoyment, leisure, but in search of some sort of experience.
The drug use is shocking. I’ve seen numerous emergency vehicles already, and people passing out under trees. Wide eyed young people grinding their teeth and moving erratically.
At one point, I was enamored by the way festival folk operated, and loved seeing all the sights and sounds. Now, I’m seeing it in a different light
We’ll see what tomorrow brings
